Holly Christmann
Instructor Piano, Early Childhood Music
Holly, her husband Lance, and their two dogs recently moved to Albany from Denver, Colorado. After graduating from Colorado Christian University, Holly taught private piano for eight years while serving as an accompanist and soloist at her church and in community theater. She also taught early childhood music education at Children's Music Academy in Denver for three and a half years. Holly has a heart for kids and is currently enrollled in the dietetics program at Oregon State University, with the goal of teaching nutritional skills and healthy eating habits to area school children. In addition to music Holly enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, working with wildlife and attempting to do crafts!
Gretchen Davey
Instructor Flute and Piano
Gretchen holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in music from Central Washington University in Ellensburg and a Master of Education in Remedial Reading from Oregon State University. Gretchen is a member of the OMTA, MTNA, and the Nation Flute Association. Her main instrument is the flute which she has played for 47 years. She also plays he piccolo and piano. She has been a private flute instructor since 1985 and has performed as a flutist for over 40 years. She and her husband, Mark, have two grown children and one who still lives at home. Gretchen enjoys rubber stamping, reading, traveling, and her 2-3 year old "JumpStarts" sunday school class at church.
Crystal Doerksen
Instructor Violin and Viola
Crystal and her husband Tory have been living in Lebanon, Oregon for a year now continuing in their second year as leaders in a service program called Service Adventure in relation with the Lebanon Mennonite Church. Crystal graduated as a music major with teacher certification in February 2005 from Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas. She has been teaching at CME for a year and teaches private violin lessons, early childhood music classes, and orchestra at Santiam Christian School. In her spare time, Crystal enjoys reading, exercising, hiking, snow shoeing, playing games, playing music at church, and playing with her three little dogs that resides with her parents in Colorado.
Tory Doerksen
Instructor Guitar, Bass Guitar, String bass (double bass). and Cello
Tory and his wife Crystal have been living in Lebanon, Oregon for a year now continuing in their second year as leaders in a service program called Service Adventure in relation with the Lebanon Mennonite Church. Tory teaches guitar, bass guitar, string bass (double bass) and cello. He also plays bass in a regional jazz combo.
Mary Eads
Executive Director of the Conservatory, Early Childhood and Piano Instructor
In addition to her administrative duties, Mary teaches Toddler Music classes, Experience Music classes, and Music Literacy classes. Her piano teaching includes private, partner, and class piano. She is a member of Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and Oregon Music Teachers Association (OMTA).
Mary is Chair of the Anna Magdalena Bach Festival and the Linn-Benton District Piano Syllabus. She also plays flute in the Willarmette Valley Concert Band. Mary has three sons and is marrried to Charlie Eads, owner of KGAL/KSHO Radio. Her goals are to help others develop musical skills and discover the benefits and enjoyment of music. Mary has been an instructor at the Conservatory since 1998.
Kelli Clark
Kelli has taught voice for over four years after graduating from George Fox University with a B.A. in Music Performance, emphasis voice, in 2000. She also leads worship music with her husband Bryan at the Fairview Community Church of God in Lebanon. Kelli has performed in musical theater at George Fox University and with the Albany Civic Theater. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and enjoys preparing students for various vocal competitions. In her spare time she likes playtime with her daughter and husband, quilting, and cooking experiments.

Alyssa Fortune
Instructor Piano
Alyssa is a student a student at Oregon State University where she is working on obtaining her Masters degree in Music, and a Bachelor's in Animal Science. Alyssa has played the piano and violin for the past 10 years. During that time she has played in numerous symphony orchestras, string ensembles, and a string quartet. In her spare time, Alyssa enjoys showing her two Appaloosa horses, playing with her dogs, and sharing her knowledge with groups of 4-H youth.

Don Van Walk
Instructor Brass, Woodwinds, Percussion, Beginning and Intermediate Guitar, Website Maintenance
Don holds Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from the University of Oregon. He has been an instructor at CME since 2002 following a 30 year career
teaching band, choir, and general music in Oregon public schools. Don teaches brass, woodwind, percussion instruments as well as beginning and intermediate guitar. When not teaching at CME Don and his wife Melody enyoy family life with their grown children and grandchildren. Don also enjoys fishing, meterorology, collecting plastic and diecast racecar models and playing in the New Horizons Concert Band of Corvallis.
